About Canadian Additive Manufacturing Solutions

Canadian Additive Manufacturing Solutions (CAMS) was founded in 2016 by Curtis Pastorius, with a focus on helping Canadian industry adopt and implement additive manufacturing technologies that were being underutilized across a wide range of applications.

In the early years, the focus was on building a strong foundation—developing a clear understanding of how these technologies could be applied in real-world environments and where they provided the most value. As that foundation grew, 3D scanning became a natural extension of the offering, supporting a broader range of applications and workflows.

As the company evolved, Curtis partnered with Jason Podger in 2019, bringing additional technical and application experience. Around this time, the business expanded with the acquisition of Evolv3D, which continues to operate as a separate company—together allowing for a broader range of services and a more complete offering.

HOW WE WORK

Today, CAMS works with organizations and partners across Canada and globally to integrate 3D printing and 3D scanning into their workflows—from initial evaluation through to implementation and long-term use.

We support our customers in the way that best suits their needs, whether that is project-based service work, ongoing production, or helping implement these technologies into their operations.

Our approach is solutions-focused rather than transactional. We focus on understanding each application and recommending technologies that make sense—both technically and practically.

OUR APPROACH TO TECHNOLOGY

We work with a carefully selected group of manufacturers and software providers, choosing products that deliver reliable, high-quality results without unnecessary cost barriers—helping make these technologies more accessible across a wide range of industries.

We don’t aim to offer everything—we focus on what works, and what we can stand behind.

WHY CAMS

We come from industry, not just from the technology side—and that shapes how we approach every project.

We understand the realities of production environments, timelines, and constraints, and focus on solutions that work in day-to-day operations—not just in theory.

Our role is to understand your requirements, identify where these technologies add value, and support you through implementation and long-term use. We don’t push products—we work with you to determine what actually makes sense.

WHAT SETS US APART

We don’t need to know every detail of your industry to be effective—we focus on understanding the problem and applying the right tools and workflows to solve it.

With experience across thousands of projects, both large and small, we bring practical knowledge that carries across applications and industries.
